という松川さんのご指摘なのですが、私の環境では、横書きの時は
各文字が格子の中に一つづつ収まっているのに、縦書きにすると
格子を無視して配置される、というのが妙だと思うのです。

小笠原さん、Language Packの件、ご指摘ありがとうございました。
インタフェースを日本語表示にすることができました。
