西堀さん、問題提起ありがとうございます!

ちょっと考え込んでしまって、なかなかお返事ができませんでした。


大幅に省略して(西堀さんのメール[1] もご参照ください)、
私の意見を申し上げると:

 1. "AutoText"
をアクションと挿入字句で訳し分けるべきが否か

で訳語を統一するとした場合、どのような訳語が適切か

で訳し分けるとした場合、それぞれ、どのような訳語が適切か

3. アクション(機能)は「入力支援」
   挿入字句は「入力支援されたテキスト」あるいは
             「入力支援テキスト」


少し理由など。

分けたくないのが本音なのですが(翻訳者・査読者が考えるべき
ことが増えるので)、機能(アクション)と、その機能で挿入
された文字列を日本語で一緒にできる気がしません。
よい案をお持ちの方がいれば、ぜひお知恵いただきたく。


それで、まずは機能の方を考えます。

現行訳の「入力支援」と「テキストブロック」であれば、
「入力支援」のほうがあきらかに分かりやすいと思います。

「テキストブロック」は、西堀さんの提示していただいたリンクを
見るに、どうやらMS Wordの用語らしいのですが、
「テキストブロック Office」で検索してもあまりヒットしない
ところを見ると、広く知られた用語というわけでもなさそうです。

なので、「入力支援」を推します。


で、入力支援によって挿入されたテキストは、素直にそれと分かる
用語にするのがいいんじゃないかなあと思うので、

「入力支援されたテキスト」

というのを考えました。ただ、「入力支援された」もちょっと日本語
として今ひとつな気もしますし、何より長いので、

「入力支援テキスト」

のほうが却っていいかなあと考えています。



もちろん、私の案が唯一だとも思っていないですし、
もし機能と挿入字句を一つにして分かりやすいものがあるなら、
そちらを採りたいと思いますので、皆様ご意見をおきかせいただければ
と思います。


よろしくお願いします。

# もたもたしていたので5.4.0には間に合わないですが(すみません)、
# 5.4.1からでも反映したいなと思います。
