The libreoffice download for windows (from the big green button) ran at 70kB/s or so (eg 1-2 hours), while the aardnet mirror ran at around 15MB/s (eg under a minute) if it's possible to change the default mirror to aardnet or another fast mirror, it'd speed up download for many users. You can use torrent too; that should speed up download.
