The libreoffice download for windows (from the big green button) ran at 70kB/s or so (eg 1-2 hours), while the aardnet mirror ran at around 15MB/s (eg under a minute) if it's possible to change the default mirror to aardnet or another fast mirror, it'd speed up download for many users.
Not really. There is no global “default” mirror, it depends on the source country and network. You appear to closer to a slow mirror, but the right fix is to lower that mirror's priority not create a global default. -- Guilhem. -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: website+unsubscribe@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy
