I think the last time I donated to the site, I had troubles with the 
same issue, but it seemed to take non-card PayPal payments back then, 
with a little of effort to figure out how to do it.  That was awhile ago 
though.

As for PayPal accounts - well I have had mine for a good 10 years or so, 
if I remember correctly.  PayPal now has USA television advertisements 
for their secure payment options - you pay with their system and you 
accept payments with their systems.

Except for those online sites that do not offer PayPal options, I use 
PayPal as my default payment option for online purchase at the "brick 
and mortar"  company sites and even bills.
