So here's my proposal:
- let's open a temporary alias like
oddwebsiteissues@documentfoundation.org or whatever. We collect
everyone's feedback (so far people send us screenshots, their browser
and OS versions) and see if we can get more details.
I wouldn't do that. Yet another list, and it sounds a bit odd if we have
a shiny new website and now have a public alias to report back for a
bug. Why not just ask people to write to hostmaster@tdf, so Cloph can
get in touch directly with them?
The only thing I can say so far is that the issue seems to be spreading
(i.e the rate of reporting is increasing, which suggests the website is
not really the problem as we have not changed it that much).
There was a change, after which it IMHO started. The original font only
supported UTF-8, but IIRC, there was a request for an UTF-16 compliant
one, and if I'm not mistaken, the problems started thereafter.
I am happy to organize a low level communications spree on this (no PR
of course).
Help is very much welcome, but I strongly recommend using the
hostmaster@ alias for reports...
Florian
