1. We are just sharing the same software with Wikipedia, which is called MediaWiki. So the name is not correct.
True, my bad - It should be called Wiki Templates but...
2. We should keep the "Template" for use on wiki-templates as this is the standard on all MediaWikis, and to keep the entry level at height for new editors.
It's a good point - I agree with that. But even on wiki for MediaWiki, category for templates is called "Templates" http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Category:Templates and they are using "Template:" namespace for them.
