Hi, 2013/5/28 Joren <joren.libreoffice@telenet.be>:
SteveBell and Qubit (Robinson) are doing fantastic work to make the wiki pages organized, especially for the QA section. Therefore they have to delete some pages that are no longer valid and can't be redirected to another page. Example: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Impress_Documents_ODF_validation As stated here: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Projects/Ideas#Idea:_Remove_outdated_Impress_Documents_ODF_validation We are aware of the fact we have to alter all pages linking to that page too, but we think that's the only right way to clean it up.
I see only one page which links there, so no big problem. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Special:WhatLinksHere/Impress_Documents_ODF_validation
Deleting wiki pages requires special rights. Is it possible to give 'steve' and 'qubit' these "special rights".
That is not necessary. Everyone is allowed to use the deletion template https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Template:Delete By applying it to a page, it will show up at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Category:Deletion_Requests This page is monitored by some wiki admins (as me) who are deleting the pages after looking at the case. In urgent cases you can add a request on this list. The admins are all around here.
