May i suggest a youtube channel that way they can be screen captured and
uploaded there. not only to benefit those that contribute to the TDF but
even others that use silverstripe outside the TDF

Well, I wrote in another e-mail to forget my request.

while it's good to know it's nothing urgent at the moment, I really would
like to sort out this Silverstripe topic. Christian is annoyed, several
users are annoyed, so we really should find a solution to that.

From what I have read, many of the things people complained about
Silverstripe can't do, it actually can do, it's just nobody knows how. :-)

I am thinking about hosting some Google Hangout or similar webcast, to
show a view topics live.

To everyone: Would there be an interest in that, if we plan something for
one or two hours?

Christian: Would you be generally willing to do this?

If so, we need to come up with an agenda, to compile the most important
issues, and see in what time they fit.

This of course only makes sense if actually a few people would attend,
that's why I ask here. :-)

I have no technical knowledge to say why silverstrip is so slow to save
my changes. I have no ideia if it is the tool or the server, whatever it
is. But I know, I really don't like the slowness.

Can anyone else confirm that? My experience - but I don't do much with
Silverstripe - is that it has become much better with the migration to the
new server.

I would like to have the twitter messages in the site like our blog,
see: http://blog.pt-br.libreoffice.**org<http://blog.pt-br.libreoffice.org>- sometime I asked
about it and
the answer was, we can't show the brazilian messages. Our addres is
twitter.com/libreofficebr.

I don't know what the state of that was recently - Christian, is this
generally possible, what has to be done?

I would like to see fixed information. Example:
http://www.sempreupdate.com.br , I can see all the time a fixed column,
see the right column

That has nothing to do with Silverstripe itself, but needs someone capable
of HTML, CSS and similar techniques to implement it. IMHO, neither
Christian nor I can do - but let's not blame that on the CMS. We would have
the same problem with any other CMS...

I would like to use in brazilian site, slide show, is it possible?

I think the Photo Shuffler is available per site? At least that's what I
recall from a posting on this list...

I would like to see our followers in social networks, we have google
plus, facebook, twitter and video (youtube) See example here:
http://www.sempreupdate.com.br , in this site you can see the video from
youtube and google plus followers.

This also has nothing to do with the CMS per se. It needs someone to find
out how to embed those elements from these sites. Did anyone already look
up? Otherwise, I think this is the first step, before complaining about the
CMS...
