Hi,

The PNG thumbnail of this SVG image shows up fine on the File: page,
so maybe there are some nuances to the bug?:

Here's my test case:

oh, seems I've mistaken things then. I thought the problem is on the file
page?

There might be multiple issues, but I'm just focusing on the File page for now.

So, do I get it right that the problem is not that image #1 is displayed
wrong, but rather image #2 isn't displayed at all?

Yes. Of the two File: pages listed above, #1's PNG thumbnail is
displayed properly, while #2's PNG thumbnail isn't displaying at all.

(If I follow the links to the original SVG files, both show up
properly in my browser)

Hopefully if we fix the issue with the File: pages, then the thumbs on
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Gallery_Product_Graphics will also
display properly.
