Aside from the weird wiki wackiness, things are going well!

hm, what's happening in the wiki?
Hi Florian :-)

1) File uploads of around 6-7MB discourage user too strongly from
upload (limit is stated to be 25MB)

When I try to upload images I get the following warning:

---
Upload warning

It is recommended that files are no larger than 5242880; this file is 6722448.

Please modify the file description below and try again.
---

After looking at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56740
I now understand that this is just a warning and I may ignore it,
however I have two pieces of feedback:

a) Perhaps the warning should be more clear that it is acceptable to
go forward (the buttons are down at the bottom of the page). Maybe I
should be more aggressive here, but I saw the warning and thought that
I should stop my upload.

b) I don't think that modifying the file description is going to help
make the file smaller! :-)

Perhaps the warning could say

---
Warning!

The file you're trying to upload is larger than 5MB (your file is 6.5MB).

Are you sure you want to upload this big file? If so, please click the
confirmation button below.

Thanks!

2) Some uploaded images display properly, some don't:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Qubit/Images_of_computers

One 3.8MB file is displaying properly, but a couple of 4.1MB files are
not. The file appears to have uploaded completely/correctly, as
navigating to the full-resolution image works! For example:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/d/d0/Sable-complete_0821.JPG

Perhaps an issue in thumbnailing/resizing? Weirdly, the 6MB file I
just uploaded is displaying without issue...

3) We need more license options in the drop-down file upload box

We have
  - CC-BY-SA-3.0, and
  - CC-BY-SA 3.0 + LGPL + MPL

We should add at least a few more:

  - CC-BY 3.0
  - CC0 (the design team requested files under this license)

For now, I've just selected a more restrictive license in the
drop-down, and put the correct license in the Comments: field.

Thanks for helping out with this :-)

I was wondering something.

Are these uploaded/displayed images going to be seen "by default" when someone visits "the page"?

We still have dial-up users out there and 3 or 5 MB size files could take a few minutes to download for these users. Many of these users are in areas of the world that rarely seen any broad band access, or it is not affordable.

Just wanted to ask. I know of some web designers that think every Internet user has high speed access, when I know of about a dozen people who either cannot afford it or live too far out in "farm country" to get access other than dial-up.
