Hello all,
My name is Rodrigo, I was born in Brazil and I'm a German-Brazilian dual
citizen. My areas of *main* interest are Networking, Security and
Linux/Unix servers and scripting (especially shell scripting but also a few
Python and PHP). At the moment I am also improving my skills in C
programming, thanks to "Beginning C From Novice to Professional" from Ivor
Horton.
I am graduated with a college degree in Computer Networks and I'm also a
CompTIA Network+ certified.
For more than 10 years I am a Linux user and system administrator (about 5
years professionally), experience with Redhat/CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu,
Slackware and Gentoo. At the moment I'm an IT federal employee in a state
University here in Brazil but I am also looking for volunteering in this
field that I love, which is Linux system administration and the fact that I
am supporting a project that I believe is also a plus.
So, how should I proceed? Is there something I could do to volunteering
help the Document Foundation and the Libreoffice project regarding Linux
server administration?
I'm open for questions. If you wish, we can have a VoIP session (I usually
use Skype for this) or we can talk through email or IM. How you guys prefer.
All the best,
--
