Hi,

jumping in briefly here:

If we could offer a variety of buttons for external use, could we also
host these images on our servers? If we could host them on our servers,

Yes, that should be no problem.

where would be the best place to store the buttons, would the wiki be
better or would there be a better place for them to be store?

Christian IMHO has worked for a while on the concept of a "hub" URL, i.e. a redirector URL that always stays the same, independent from the final address. Maybe he can elaborate on that, but that could help for sure to have a fixed address to point people to.

If we were to offer these buttons as well as host them, would there be a
way to monitor how many sites were linking to them?

We could evaluate the referrer URLs from the log file. :)
