I have noticed that in the first few weeks after a new version is ready, I have a lot of download issues.
These issues mostly are things like download the file and it is "finished" after downloading 10 - 100KB +/- of the file, instead of the full 10-150MB of the file.
This happened just a few minutes ago when I download the 64-bit .deb file for 3.4.5. I got about 170KB and the system stated that the download was finished. I had to download the file again to get it to download fully. Sometimes I have to download the files 2 or 3 times to get it to download correctly.
Now, this hardly ever happens if I wait 3 weeks after the last updated version was placed on the download servers. It only happens [90% of the time] when I try downloading within the first 2 weeks. This has been the case for the past 2 or 3 updates.
I need to download 80+ [1.7 GB] of the new installs and packs to update my NA-DVD project DVD .iso file and its testing web pages. When I have to do a lot of re-downloading of these files, it gets to be annoying, to say it mildly.
So is there some issues with your end when the new version comes out and there is an increase of downloads? I have run every test I can on my end, and everything seems to work. I have even tried the downloads during "off times" where I thing fewer people would be doing their downloads. Well, it makes no difference if I do it in the morning, afternoon, evening, or after mid-night, for my local time. My download speeds are 1 MB [worst] to 20 MB [best] per second easily per testing sites world wide.
So any suggestions? Any Ideas?I just downloaded the basic en_US files for Windows and my Ubuntu systems, but will need to download the other 80+ files soon.
