compatibility other software, but the primary concern being superior
behaviour of LO in creating odf documents.
This is irrelevant for user questions.
A good response on a question looks at what is asked, and if relevant
(which often is not) takes both directions into account.
People that do not ask the question, should not start quarrelling about
whether it is correct or not to advise about compatibility.
So both the discussion on the users list and the possible creation of a
separate list are/would be a waste of time and resources.
