Dear Document Foundation / LibreOffice team,

Over the past six months, attempts to download LibreOffice led to
strange behavior on my computer system, several times.
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 32 bit (Dutch).
Browser: Internet Explorer 8 & 9 (Dutch).
Download links:
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/
http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/3.3.3/win/x86/LibO_3.3.3_Win_x86_install_multi.exe
http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/3.4.1/win/x86/LibO_3.4.1_Win_x86_install_multi.exe
and earlier versions (though I haven't tried the beta downloads).

In those cases with strange download behavior occurrence, the Internet
Explorer 8/9 download manager popup window ('Run/Save/Cancel') does
not appear, but nevertheless there's audible HDD activity and Windows
Task Manager shows network activity and a significant CPU load.
When closing the LibreOffice download page, it even takes quite some
time before the CPU load returns to normal.
I think this LibreOffice download behavior is highly questionable, and
it makes one doubt the reliability of the LibreOffice download page
and even the stability of the facilities of The Document Foundation /
LibreOffice.

A couple of days ago, I tested again, with the LibreOffice 3.4.1
download, and unfortunately, the same weird phenomenon recurred.
After that, after first closing the download page and reopening it
later for a new download attempt, the download was as it should be,
without any problems.
The same applied to download tests over the past six months: Several
times those led to the same strange behavior, while with other or
follow-up download tests the download was without problems.

I think this is a problem that needs serious attention.
Because such bad download behavior can harm the confidence in
LibreOffice / The Document Foundation.

Thank you very much.
