Hi,

discussion here on the list was useful during the Alpha phase of the
website, but from now on it will not bring forward anything. We need
active promotion! My experience is that if some people started visible
activity others will follow, but currently there is no such "visible
activity". I had to ask Google for the current URL of the Extensions
repository.
Not true. Andreas asked for volunteers a few days ago, and even posted
the URL to this list. Maybe you missed it with all the mails, but it
has been sent. :-)
Any ideas how to announce existence of the test repository ant the need
for volunteers for the tasks listed on
<http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Extensions_Repository>?
We can't burden all that to Andreas, "the marketing machine" has to be
started to hire volunteers.
The plan is that we need to find volunteers, and when we can ensure we
have enough people capable of reviewing extensions and managing the
site, we can announce a public test - not vice versa. Imagine we
started a public campaign, and the nobody is available for reviewing
new extensions. Not a good idea...
So, I hope some more people reply to Andreas' call.
I started to test the website <http://extensions-test.libreoffice.org>
Thanks!
(by the way,
<http://kermit.documentfoundation.org:9089/LibreOffice-Extensions-and-Templates/>
also still is available) to honour my promise on
IMHO, Andreas wanted that for maintenance.
