I would send them a confirmation e-mail, telling that they should
subscribe to announce@tdf - that's the main list where we should send
out news.
For short announcements during the conference (like XYZ has been shifted
to room ABC), I propose using Twitter and Identi.ca? Or do we need a
separate mailing list for that, where everyone can post, like the
ooocon_discuss@ we had? I'm not sure, so thoughts are welcome.
