Hi,

Apparenlty it doesn't - I'm sending it with
"noreply@documentfoundation.org" (if that would work, I'd like to
switch it to using the address the user did specify in the form)- but
it doesn't show up in the archives. (and doesn't hit my inbox either -
an additoinal notification entry sent to me directly does make it
through - so not sure where the problem is. AFAICT the list is set to
allow non-subscribers, but maybe I missed some setting?

the list works, allows non-subscribers, but it seems you are sending the
mail *TO* noreply@, not *FROM*. Just checked the mail logs.

Nah, just checked the settings - to is the mailinglist, and from is noreply..
Also checked the logs on kermit - it is sending to the list address
from noreply:

But there I found the answer:

Important part is:
* SENDER * address rejected User unknown. So bilbo refuses to accept
the message because it doesn't know anything about noreply-reply user,
thus assuming it must be fake.

As I intended to send the mails with the from-address that was used by
the submitter anyway, I'll just try with that.

Thanks for the exchange, helps to talk about stuff to get to the
obvious parts :-)

ciao
Christian
