Hi,
The recent discussion is veering towards adding (L3) pages that show details of features.
So we may have to opt for open-on-hover menu anyway :)
Reason: We cannot possibly have a stack of 3 menu bars on every page.
No, but we have a vertical menu for third-level pages (on the left
side of the content area). I don't like the idea of showing a vertical
drop down on one page and then having a horizontal menu on another
page (for second level pages). I have made a basic horizontal submenu
on hover (with jQuery for animations - but it works without JS too)
demonstration at [1]. It has a some issues that would need to be
fixed/resolved first, but the basic idea is there - this would be a
more consistent approach IMO (for second level navigation - third
level navigation would still be on the left side).
Regards,
Ivan.
