Can't agree with that. You end up blocking many other
people (almost always) then just the poster - banning an ip
address is ONLY acceptable in the most dire of
circumstances, IMO of course.
Blocking an IP will only work if the offender has a static IP and it never
changes; which almost no one has compared to the # of IPs being assigned at
any one time.
