Also, would it be possible to set the default image styles, left align
and right align, to have vspace=15 and hspace=15 ?
No, vspace and hspace are both obsolete/non-conformant with html5

(and while I see use for horizontal spacing, the vertical one is
questionable - you usually want to align the image with the top of the
text, don't you?)
