BTW, do we have, as users, the "permissions" to rename pages or delete them?
Marc
Not normally, for any Mediawiki site I've been on.
there is a macro you drop onto a page you wanted deleted and this puts
onto a display list for the admin's and they do the actual delete.
This is a good point - it really isn't a good idea to be too cavalier
with idea of renaming pages - this causes a redirection from the db
under Mediawiki and from my understanding a site with a lot of redirects
starts to show it..so it is one thing to be not afraid to start a page,
but if it is not under your personal namespace then I would suggest at
least a quick post to one of the mailing lists (whichever makes most
sense for the page users).
Make sense?
