Therefore it is good to have on in the menu Track Changes. And to be more
precise: the one that is related to files with changes tracked :)
... Presently i'm fine either way, moving them both in
track changes or having them both out. One benefit of having them in the
submenu is that the main menu would be two entries smaller, which would be
an advantage in writer, but not that particular in calc.
Both in, is less bad then both out. But as you indicated yourself, there is
some confusion if one does not know what is does. Splitting over the proper
places, helps. The user sees: Track Changes .. Merge Document. (Hmm could
that be to merge documents with changes tracked??)
After all, the initial idea to move 'Merge Document' was based on
misunderstanding.
Due to the limited space in the Edit menu, they have been put in the Track
Changes submenu. :D
