Hello.
I installed from the distribution repository.
Do you manage packages with APT in command line interface or mintInstall
or Synaptic
Steve
I use probably each, depending on what I want to achieve.
I use the system Update Manage to update packages, so that I can leave
updating the kernel and web browsers until I have to (system or browser
crash), Synaptic for finding and adding packages, and, I also sometimes
use apt, depending on what I am wanting to achieve. I also use the MATE
(I think it is) Software Manager to install packages, on occasion.
I have also used a GUI deb package installer, on occasion; downloading
and installing additional packages.
