Hello.
I have just subscribed to this list.
I have had installed and been using LibreOffice for some years, and,
one problem that I cannot overcome, is that is has installed, and, I
cannot find how to get rid of, multiple language packs.
I am monolingual (?) - my only language is English (the English of
England, not the pidgin English of Australia or the USA), and,
every time that Libre Office updates, it unnecessarily downloads and
installs multiple packages relating to languages that I would not
understand, let alone use.
Is it possible to limit an installation (and, updates) of Libre
Office, to a single language?

I am sorry - I should have included an important item of information,
but neglected (forgot) to so do (Plurry Irriot - me); I am running Linux
Mint Mate 21.3, based on Ubuntu Linux Mate 22.04 LTS as the underlying
OS platform.
I do not thence know whether the problem lies with Libre Office itself
for the automatic inclusion of the extraneous language packs, or,
whether it lies with the Ubuntu package maintainer.
But, If I could find how to perform a simple (?) blanket removal
(including the thence blocking of further downloads) of the extraneous
language packs, it would be useful, including making Libre Office and
future updates, more efficient and less bloated.
Thank you in anticipation.
