Not sure this is what you might need to do.
I use Fedora, but this seemed to increase size for me in test.
Applications / Settings / Setting Manager / Appearance
Click on Fonts tab at top
Changed the default fonts from size 10 to size 12 and made larger.

There is a DPI option lower on panel, and changing it might also 
work. In wine I changed that to get better size under wine winecfg.

Don't know if this change will effect other things negatively. 
Seemed to find things about install libreoffice-gtk3 but my install 
shows gtk3 and gtk4 already installed?
