First, screenshots don't work on this forum. Secondly, I'm also using LO on Ubuntu 24.04 and I 
haven't had any problems with selecting or changing sizes in any fonts. In Writer, I change the 
font settings in the styles.
Can you see in LO all the fonts you have on your machine?
