Greetings Regina,
No, I have not used the "TYPE" function. The closest I have come to
using it was via the "CELL" function, asking for "TYPE" as information.
This was used directly on a spreadsheet to identify the layout of a
variable format configuration sheet.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Rémy.

Hi spreadsheet users,
do you actually use the TYPE function? If so, what do you use it for?
Do
you use it directly in the spreadsheet or in a macro?
Background to the question: The ODF TC has received a public comment
on
the TYPE function, stating that its specification is insufficient. I
am
working on this issue in the TC.
Kind regards,
Regina
