Hi Klaus,
This mailing list typically uses English :) Translation below.
Description:
When trying to check in LibreOffice via Help → Check for updates
Finding updates has been coming up for several days:
*“Error reading the data from the Internet. Server Error Message: GET ⇒
HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden.” *
The problem occurs in: – Windows 10/11 – LibreOffice (most recent
Version, freshly installed) – no VPN or proxy usage – none
local firewall or router blockages
There seems to be a problem on Windows, see ESC meeting minutes:
2026-03-05, "Release Engineering update (Cloph)
+ 26.2.x: 26.2.2 RC1 this week: will probably tag later today
+ git hash problem in the about dialog / auto-updater, 1 patch is
missing for this"
So please wait until 26.2.2 is released, or check the download page
directly whether an update is available and download it from there.
Kind regards,
Regina
