Cool!  I add my thanks for that ... and I also saw the "watermark" option under "Format/Page style" as well (LO Version 7.4.5.1, under Mageia 8 Linux) ... thanks again

I want to use one of my images (.jpg) to a writer page as a watermark. I cannot figure out how to make this work.

1. Can this be done?

2. If yes, then how?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, this is possible and I've done it in the past.  What I've done is:

 * Use the "Format/Page" menu and click "Area" to set the page
   background image.  Use the "Fill" menu to choose a bitmap, and
   import your JPEG image.
 * Then, I use the "Transparency" tab to set transparency of the image,
   creating a "watermark".

This works in Writer 5.1.x and should function similarly in a more current version.

Hope this helps!

Peace...
