Whenever I start LO 5, I get a message about a file that is damaged and I am asked if I want to fix it. I say yes, LO comes back and says it cannot be fixed.

I am able to access the file (password protected SS) with no problem.

I am offered the option of deleting information regarding fixing the problem. Once when this happened months ago, I said yes. I got an 'are you sure?' msg box. This worries me.

Q1: Why am I receiving this when I can access the file fine?

Q2: What is in the file that has recovery information; is the the damaged file?

Q3: Is the fact that the file is password protected a factor here?

Ubuntu 14.04
