Having copied from email and pasted into LibreOffice, you may have ended 
up with a paragraph break at the end of each line from the email. Enable 
View > Non-printing Characters and delete any symbols which look like a 
backward "P", which represent paragraph breaks (except the one at the 
end of the last line, which you won't be able to delete anyway).
