I found Libreoffice sort the printers by their names, and always

So I think of another workaround -- to change the printer names!
That's what I call an intelligent solution!
I changed "Canon PIXMA iP4500" as "X-Canon PIXMA iP4500", and
changed "PDF" as "X-PDF", so that "USB-Canon iP4500 series" became
the first printer for Libreoffice.
One of my favourite characters is the hash mark: I have some files,
folders and shortcuts with names starting with that character. At
least under Windows, these sort before other alphabetic or numeric
names and can be relied on to be readily accessible.
