I get that type of screen sometimes when I buy items from an online
store. I do not like to fill those info boxes. So I do not use my
debit card and use my PayPal account instead of the card, for those
sites that those types of info screens pop up.
It is not that I am "afraid" of giving out more info, but I just do not
like to deal with that extra step. Yes, it was created to help protect
your transactions, but sometimes I wonder if a SPAM "coder" could hack
into one of the stores and create their own pop-up card info, then use
your card for something else. So only fill out this screen for MAJOR
online stores that you feel secure enough to do so.
Since PayPal is a better way for online transactions, safer for me and
will help get my money back from orders that are not delivered, I tend
to use it for most sites. Amazon.com does not use PayPal for some
reason, but it is one of the few exceptions to my PayPal use rule.
LibreOffice uses PayPal as one of the payment options, so I use that
when I donate money to "the cause".

Hi :)
Actually i'm sure i recognise the user-name there. Haven't you
donated your time on this mailing-list in the past to help users solve
their problems. If you buy one of the published guides from the Lulu
bookstore then quite a lot of that money goes to the community and
looks quite smart on a book-shelf or for lending out.

Tom :)

Hi :)
Also you don'ty need to make a donation that way. You can download
without donating. There are other ways to donate to the community or
you could go back to that page another day after you have used
LibreOffice for a while.

Tom :)

You could be losing money. Maybe you should also accept Amex.
