A reasonable question, in my view.

If the question was is it 100% compatible, then yes, it is a very silly *and* unreasonable question - since even the different versions of Microsoft Office are not 100% compatible, and in my opinion, this is purely intentional to try to keep as many of their (microsofts) customers on the upgrade train as possible.
