What I've done - in order to avoid allowing these roving-robots
access to my e-address list -
is to keep them in a notepad document ... separating by
categories
then when I wish to send an e-mail pertinent to some group, I
merely select that section, copy, then paste into the e-mail ;-)
I realize this does not answer your specific question,
but thought some might be interested in a fairly simple method
to use them yet keep them hidden from the dangers lurking 'round 'bout ;-)

Subject: [libreoffice-users] Thunderbird - too many Address Books
To: users@global.libreoffice.org
I'm getting a bit annoyed at having my address book split between Personal
Address Book and Collected Addresses, with an attempt at getting a Master
Combined address book not too successful
Can someone tell me the sequence/commands to combine the disparate
collections under a single umbrella?
At some stage I'll also need to bring over an Evolution address list - big
file.
Thanks
Dave H
