Perhaps it was a new printer or something like that?
I've been wondering if the problem is due to a re-orientation of the
page from landscape to portrait or from A4 down to A5. I don't know
of anything that would do such a thing though. Still, a quick look
around the pop-up box you get from
Format - Page
might show something obviously wrong

What is your LO version, OS, and what was the recently loaded software?
There may an OS specific setting that can be used to reset the zoom.
My guess is there is default setting in the new software that overrides the
LO defaults. I would check that software adjust its settings.
