Hi,

so what must i use?

In the upcoming future 4.1 release of LO, the mariadb driver (which also
works with mysql servers) should be included by default.

You could try the mysql native C++ driver extension available here :

http://code.google.com/a/apache-extras.org/p/aoo-my-sdbc/downloads/detail?name=aoo-my-sdbc-1.1.0-macosx-x86.oxt&can=2&q=

but it might not work with LO4.x on OSX.

Even this driver does not support all of the features available in mysql.

You must decide what you want to have in your database, look up what
each driver/connector is capable of, how well it is supported in LO, and
then make a compromise. Unfortunately, there is no "one size fits all"
solution.
