I am running a macro in writer version 3.5 that inserts a dxf drawing as a
picture and then saves the document as pdf. In the later versions (3.6 and
4.02) I've now tried on both windows and linux I get problems with the
texts on the drawing in the pdf. The document looks very good until I export
to pdf. It is like the application uses a fix length char char buffer which
is for every text completely written. I mean the writing does not stop at
the end the text string. Instead, a fixed number of characters are written
resulting in many trailing strange characters. My guess is that it is a bug.
The correction would be to stop the the writing of chars when the string
ends. Unfortunately, I am myself unfamiliar to the source base. Any help or
advice would be very appreciated.
