I think that is a fairly perfect way to deal with a problem;
2. post a question
3. start looking into documentation and searches more deeply
4. race against everyone else on the list to get your answer up there first.

I was - in the end - able to sort my problem out after some Googling!!
As I said it was reporting a Duplicate Key but when I used DESCRIBE and SHOW it told me there was
NO Key!!
Using UPDATE I was able to re-set the KEY and all is now fine with everything working as expected.
