All this seems very weird. I never had any problem with sorting in
LibreOffice. Perhaps the data contains "strange" things, such as
unwanted end-of-line or carriage return chars (this had bitten me once
or twice).
Would you mind posting an (anonymized) exerpt of the csv file somewhere
so that we could test?
