There is a standard for this sort of thing:

MAILBOX NAMES FOR COMMON SERVICES, ROLES AND FUNCTIONS
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2142.txt

It says mail to the standard address just adding "-request" to the list name,
so here users-request@global.libreoffice.org should work, whatever other
methods the mail management software provides.

The one-liner "unsubscribe" sent to that address should either be
all you need or should start a confirmation interaction. Does that
work? if not, file a bug report.
