could both LO versions still be operational on your machine?

LibreOffice 3.5.6.2 (installed using the debs available at
http://www.libreoffice.org/ – the Ubuntu repository version of
LibreOffice were carefully uninstalled before doing this).
Bug in LibreOffice or in my operating system?
Is anyone else seeing this?
