Hi :)
Can you try the 3.4.6 instead of the 3.5.2? The 3.5.x branch is not really stable just yet despite
claims made on the official website. Quite a few people have had problems with the 3.5.x branch
and found that going to the 3.4.6 fixed things.

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

What is the setting[s] for your default language in "Tools>Options>Language Settings>Languages"?
What is the default language for the documents?
Default English (USA)
Do you have any Language aide extension installed, like Language Tool or Linguist?
No
Which version of LO are you using? 3.4.6, 3.5.1, 3.5.2? Windows, Mac, Linux .deb/.rpm?
32-bit or 64-bit? For Linux - was it download from LO's site or did it come from a repository
or PPA?
3.5.2.2 on Windows 7 Prof. 64b
Just noticed one interesting thing...
When I write one sentence or paragraph, the spell check works. Later no matter how many words I
write or whatever I tried, it doesn't work. Actually it works only the first time..
Well, the "Spell Checker breaks" issue was solved, at least in the short run, by adding my
English spelling dictionary.

Hopefully someone will figure out what is going on with the default English system.
If this does work, then maybe this will be one more issue that can point towards what it the
problem with that default English system.
As I have stated before, when I installed this dictionary/thesaurus, the results created by the
thesaurus in this extension were listed first, then the ones in the default system. So adding an
extension version of spell checker resets something when it is installed, so the spell checking
system works around the issue[s] that is causing the problems. Do not know if that is true, but
is easy to find out if it works enough for you to get your own work done. I use 3.4.6 and this
one with my Ubuntu 10.04LTS, 12.04 beta-2, XP pro, and Vista, systems.
