Hi Dag,

Hi,

I was just wondering if this is possible. I have a spreadsheet document
that consists of the following structure

Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
2010 2011
2012

Is it possible to have a graph spanning multiple months/years on the X
axis showing a single line on my graph ?

^
| _.
| _. _.'
| _.' '.__.'
| .'
+--------------------------->
J A J O J A J O J A J O
2010 2011 2012

The default behaviour is to have multiple lines for each month or for
each year in a single graph, but I want to span multiple years.

Possible or workarounds ?

It should be possible, but it is actual broken for category charts like "line". Fix will not be in 3.5, but in 3.6.

You can use an XY-chart with subtype 'line' as workaround.

You need to enter the ranges manually in the second tab of the data ranges dialog. The delimiter between to ranges is a semicolon.

Kind regards
Regina
