Hi :)
Can you create the folders yourself and then see if the script runs? It will probably grumble
about not being able to make the folders but then hopefully the rest of it should complete surely?
I'm not sure it will work but it seems worth trying.
Regards from
Tom :)

Hello Jay,
The packages were downloaded from libreoffice.org just hours ago. Yeah, I did some googling and
searching before posting here. I did find one other person who reported the same problem, but he
had other errors that I did not.
Bruce
is the package in the Scientific repositories? If so, I would try it.

Hello,
My system is running Scientific Linux 6.2 64-bit with no office application (OpenOffice or
LibreOffice) installed prior to the installation of LibreOffice 3.5. There were no problems or
errors reported during the LibreOffice installation.
When I installed the desktop integration, it appears to work in that I can see the applications
listed on the Office menu, but there were two mkdir errors as can be seen in the output below.
Is there some other package that I should (or should not) have installed prior to the desktop
integration?
Thanks!

Where did you get your packages?
Have you checked with Scientific's forums to see if anyone else has reported an installation?
Also, I would check Fedora and Centos since both are closely related.
It looks like mkdir tried to create a file not a folder.
