Hi Tom, I eventually found the answer by trawling through the Help pages. This was one of those rare instances where LibreOffice isn't as intuitive as it could be. Setting a background image for an object allows new images to be imported. Setting a background image for a whole page doesn't let you import. A bit of an anomaly I feel. Cheers, Charlie.
