Is there a good tool for uninstalling programs in Windows? Preferably
something that can declutter the registry. Just after the New Year before
last someone was recommending something in this list that seemed good from
what people were saying.

I always hint Windows users at a full reinstall every 2-3 yrs. Yeah, it's long, it's boring, but this is the *only* I know of that ensures a 100% clean system.

Just to make things a little faster wrt Windows reinstall, I usually install the system once (system + drivers, that's all) then take a snapshot using Clonezilla Live. Then I continue the software installs. When time comes for a new system install, I start from the snapshot I recorded on a thumbdrive or burnt on a DVD. Thus, I only have the software part to deal with.

At least, that's what I do for others as my own systems are all Free software ;-)
