I use Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, so here is what I would do:
Go to Tools>Options>LibreOffice>Path
Then I would click on the "My Documents" path for

You should be able to edit that page to any mounted drive/folder. The
thing is you must make sure that the network drive, where that default
folder is, is mounted before you use LibreOffice. I do not know what
would happen if that network-share folder is not mounted when LO
"asks" to use it.
You may need to modify fstab, I forget the instructions so that the
network drive is mounted automatically. The Ubuntu forums have the
instructions on how to do this. One trick is to label the drives with a
label such as Fred so you can use the label not the UID when referring
to the drive

May I ask, why you are deploying a Unity based desktops? I tried it
and as a power user, I hated it. I prefer GNOME 2.32 or KDE over
anything like Unity's desktop.
Gnome 3.2 is not bad particularly if you add a dock such as Docky

Hi!
I am deploying Ubuntu 11.10 with LO 3.4.3 on a large number of
computers. We
also mount a network share under /mnt/$USER/Share. I would like to
set this
path, on a system-wide basis as the default save folder for LO. How
can this
be done?
Best regards Jon Lachmann
